Quick Answer
This OSRS Construction calculator works out how many items you need to build to reach your target level: it takes the XP you still need (level 99 is 13,034,431 XP) and divides by the XP of your chosen build. For example, going from level 50 to 99 on oak larders (480 XP each) takes about 26,944 larders — 215,552 oak planks. Enter your current and target level or XP, pick a method, and add the plank price for a GP total.
How the OSRS Construction Calculator Works
Construction is trained by building the same piece of furniture over and over, each giving a fixed amount of experience. To plan a goal you only need three things: the XP you still need, the XP per build, and how many planks each build costs. This calculator uses the exact Old School RuneScape XP table, so the numbers match the game to the last point.
Builds = XP needed ÷ XP per build, rounded up
Planks = builds × planks per build · Cost = planks × plank price

The XP curve is Jagex’s standard formula, where each level needs roughly 10% more experience than the last — so level 92 is halfway to 99 in XP terms. Level 99 is 13,034,431 XP and the maximum is 200,000,000. Because the curve is steep, the higher your current level, the more builds a goal takes.
How to Use the OSRS Construction Calculator

Grand Exchange prices change daily, so update it. You get the number of builds, total planks and GP cost.
Construction Training Methods: XP per Build
XP and plank counts from the Old School RuneScape Wiki. “XP per plank” shows how efficiently each method uses planks — mahogany tables give the most XP for the fewest planks.
| Method | Level | XP per build | Planks | XP per plank |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Crude wooden chair | 1 | 58 | 2 planks | 29 |
| Wooden bookcase | 4 | 115 | 4 planks | 28.8 |
| Wooden larder | 9 | 228 | 8 planks | 28.5 |
| Oak larder | 33 | 480 | 8 oak planks | 60 |
| Mahogany table | 52 | 840 | 6 mahogany planks | 140 |
| Teak garden bench | 66 | 540 | 6 teak planks | 90 |
| Oak dungeon door | 74 | 600 | 10 oak planks | 60 |
